In our Montessori kindergarten community, children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Our young scholars develop foundational skills while having fun every step of the way. Using Montessori-designed hands-on materials, Guides help model academic skills to students, then give them the freedom to learn at their own pace and from peers. Our Montessori approach offers a personalized learning experience focusing on each child’s individual needs, gifts, and interests. We make learning an adventure!
We help early learners fall in love with their education. Drawing inspiration from Montessori standards for language and numeracy, students progress at an individualized and advanced level, it is also a priority of ours to make learning fun.
Through project-based learning and exploration, our student-centered instruction teaches academic concepts while fostering problem-solving skills, innovation, and curiosity. We instill a sense of curiosity and wonder in scholars so that they always find enjoyment in education.
Numeracy and calculation are just the tip of the iceberg for our mathematical instruction. In our spark studio, students use physical manipulatives and hands-on resources to develop problem-solving strategies, evaluation skills, critical thinking, logic, and reasoning. Whether it’s with blocks in the studio or leaves in our outdoor classroom, mathematical computation can happen anywhere in a fun, creative, and challenging manner.
Our spark studio approaches literacy in a way that reflects the natural language development process while encouraging creativity and exploration. We treat writing as a form of art and reading as a way to explore new worlds.
Through multi-sensory experiences such as tracing letters on sandpaper or manipulating a moveable alphabet, our signature learning experience nurtures literacy development in a holistic, individualized, and highly effective way.
Creativity, problem-solving, innovation, and play are the heart of our STEAM curriculum. Through hands-on, real-world experiences, scholars learn to ask questions, make observations, recognize patterns, draw conclusions, create models and artwork, and have discussions about various STEAM concepts. Whether its through growing a hydroponic garden, practicing entrepreneurship, or exploring a local hiking trail, scholars in our spark studio are constantly developing important, 21st-century STEAM skills.
In our civilizations program, scholars learn to explore the world around them while developing an understanding of community engagement. In our spark studio, we focus on citizenship, history, geography, and learning about diverse cultures and backgrounds. Annually, even our youngest scholars participate in community service activities. Whether gathering canned food for the local food bank to creating encouraging cards for the elderly, we encourage scholars to be giving and kind.
